Design & Inspiration ‘Performance Polo’ is a stylish and unique full-size silk pocket square and has been created in collaboration with contemporary Scottish artist Alasdair Banks, who has developed a style unique in the genre of equine art. Alasdair’s works are large, colourful and explore ways of conveying dramatic movement with his own individual treatment of expressive line and colour. Alasdair’s original artwork was created in oil on canvas and inspired by the spectacle of high goal polo with its speed, skill, bravery of player and pony alike, bright colours and soundtrack of thundering hooves and mallet on ball. There are few better examples of expressive line and colour than the dramatic ‘Performance Polo’. The artwork is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed and reverse sides of the silk pocket square so works perfectly with any pocket square fold. The image is framed by the pocket square’s red border and green hand-rolled & hand-sewn hem. 'Performance Polo' is presented in a complimentary nded gift box with its blueberry-coloured lid and pale blue base. Inside each box, the high-quality polo silk pocket square is tissue-wrapped and accompanied by a card telling the story of the artist and his vibrant artwork. Material Composition & Care High-quality 100% Mulberry silk woven into 15oz silk twill gives the characteristic sheen and cool touch as well as ensuring the pocket square sits nicely in the top pocket. Silk should always be dry cleaned. Avoid pressing the hand-finished hem to preserve its distinctive 'shoestring' shape.
